CRISPR have revolutionized the way we can address scientific questions
CRISPR-based gene drives represent a technology that allows to propagate engineered alleles into a community for population modification or population suppression
Our main focus is to develop genome editing approaches to help tackle vector-borne diseases such as malaria. We use Drosophila melanogaster as a platform for technology development. Then, we apply these novel approaches to mosquitoes that are the relevant disease vector.
